# The Correction

She pulls up the old FIRM first. Boundary runs along Cabrillo, cuts behind the elementary school, leaves the church and the fourplex on Marsh in the white. Zone X. She's looked at this map a hundred times.

The corrected version loads slowly. Same parcels, same grid. The blue has moved one block inland. The fourplex is AE now. The church is AE. The school sits inside the 500-year shading, orange where it was white yesterday.

She zooms in on her own street. Tabs back. Tabs forward. The line crossed her driveway sometime between the two maps. The water didn't move. The zero moved.
