Every candidate at your level can say "I design AI products." It tells the buyer nothing they can't already see on your LinkedIn. The roles posting right now are describing a specific problem: what does a human need to see, decide, or override when a system is acting on their behalf?
"I design human-agent decision moments" names that problem. Your portfolio already proves it. Alibaba is a procurement buyer committing on the strength of a screen. Thermo Fisher is an exception that has to surface before the delivery gate. Red Cross is a caseworker making the right call under surge on day one. The Trust essay is the explicit framework tying all three together.
Use this as internal scaffolding. Don't paste it into outreach. Let it govern which case you lead with and how you describe what you did.
What live roles actually ask for:
Gusto — "AI wrongness, exception movement between systems, coherent human-AI-service handoffs"
Salesforce Agentforce — "behavioral architecture for how agents communicate, hand off work, use memory, and coordinate"
Amplitude — "define how agents and humans work together in the same workflows"
Ramp — "designing memory, rethinking process as new capabilities unlock"
Capital One — "AI-enabled design process evolution" across the design org
Read the language they chose. Every one of these describes a decision moment. Your positioning should match the problem they wrote down.
