Ronan Adike

Ronan Adike holds a PhD in electrochemistry from the University of Michigan, where his dissertation work on lithium metal anode interfaces was funded by a defense contractor — which meant every experiment had to answer both 'what is happening at the interface?' and 'does this matter at the pack level?' After three years at Argonne National Laboratory evaluating novel cell chemistries for commercialization pathways, he moved into industry, leading application qualification for an advanced cathode technology targeting aerospace — a domain with borrowed standards, demanding customers, and a supply chain that had never been stress-tested at volume. He subsequently served as VP of Product at a startup commercializing a silicon-dominant anode architecture for eVTOL, UUV, and defense robotics applications. His work there — translating cell-level electrochemical capability into pack-level qualification requirements across applications with incomplete governing standards — defines the analytical frame he brings to every piece he writes. Adike writes in the register of a senior systems engineer producing reference documentation for peers who will use it in a meeting that afternoon: declarative claims, cited evidence, explicit uncertainty, no wasted words.
