Northland Seed & Nursery — Spring 2045
Iron Range Gold Sweet Potato · 95 days · Zone 6a+ Set slips when the soil holds warm at wrist depth, usually the first week of May now. Twelfth season in our Duluth trial beds. Roots overwinter in the ground.
Clemson Spineless 80 Okra · 55 days · Zone 5b–11 Still the workhorse. Pick at three inches, while the pod gives under a thumbnail. Pod set picks up with the heat, and the plants hold through a dry August on very little water.
North Star Fig · Zone 6+ Stands uncovered all winter; skip the burlap and the trench. Bark stays supple to the first hard freeze. Two crops most years once established. Great Lakes orders ship the first week of April.
